Terms of Service.

Plain English. Written by Joe Wilson. Not legal advice — if you need actual legal advice, talk to a lawyer.

1. Who we are

AI Builders Club is a 4-week build sprint operated by Obey LLC, a Missouri limited liability company headquartered in St. Louis, MO. Joe Wilson is the founder and primary instructor. When this page says “we” or “us,” we mean Obey LLC.

2. What you're paying for

When you reserve a seat in a sprint, you're paying for: a 4-week guided build experience, access to a Discord workspace for the duration, twice-weekly office hours with Joe Wilson, daily build prompts, peer review from the other builders in your sprint, and a Demo Day at the end of week 4. You're also paying for the playbook to keep building tools after the sprint ends.

You are not paying for: a guarantee that you'll ship a working tool (you have to do the work), a job placement, a certification recognized by any external body, or a refund of the time you invest.

3. Reservation and refund policy

Note on the current funnel: right now the site collects email reservations only — payment processing goes live before May 26 launch. When you submit the form, you reserve your spot in the queue and we email you to collect payment when checkout is live. No charge today.

Once paid: full refund within 7 days of sprint start, no questions asked. If you ship nothing in 4 weeks — you complete the sprint but produce no working artifact — the sprint is on us; email refund@aibuildersclub.aiwith your order ID and we'll refund 100%.

After day 7, refunds are at our discretion. We're reasonable about life events; we're not reasonable about “I changed my mind in week 3 and want my money back.”

Founding pricing ($199) is locked for the May 26 sprint. Future sprints will be priced higher. Founding-pricing reservations are non-transferable to other people but can be deferred to a later sprint at the same price (one deferral built in).

4. What you bring

You bring one real workflow you want to automate, a willingness to actually build, basic comfort with a laptop and internet, and the ability to attend the live kickoff + demo day calls. You do not need to know how to code. You do need to follow setup instructions when we send them.

You agree to participate in good faith with the other builders. No harassment, no off-topic spam in Discord, no doxing other builders. We can remove you from a sprint without refund if you violate this in spirit or letter.

5. What you build

You own what you build during the sprint. We claim no intellectual property in your capstone tool, your demo, your code, or any artifact you produce. The teaching materials, system prompts, sample data, and curriculum we provide are ours; you can use them inside the sprint and as templates for your own future builds, but you can't resell them or relicense them as your own course.

If you build something you want to sell, ship, or open-source after the sprint, we wish you well and ask only that you don't represent the AI Builders Club name as endorsing your specific product without our written agreement.

6. AI services and third parties

The sprint requires you to use Anthropic Claude (free or paid tier) and may require additional services depending on your chosen track (e.g., Vercel for deploys, GitHub for source). Those services have their own terms and you're responsible for following them. We don't control or guarantee the behavior of any third-party service.

We use sample data and fictional company personas in our demos. All sample data on our site or in our materials is fictional unless explicitly noted otherwise.

7. No warranties

The sprint is provided “as is.” We don't warrant that you'll ship a tool, get a job, become a builder, or experience any particular outcome. We'll teach what we know and show up for the live calls. The work is yours.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the sprint is capped at the amount you paid us. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. If we have a dispute we can't resolve via email, it goes to courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. Material changes get an email to the address on your account. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept them. The version at the top of this page is the active one.

10. Contact

Questions, refund requests, or anything else: email hello@aibuildersclub.ai.
